|The church is located near the centre of Hemsby village & dedicated to
Mary the Mother of Our Lord. The present building dates from early 14th
Century. The building consists of a Chancel, Nave & South Porch in the
decorated & perpendicular style.
Although there is mention of a church at Hemsby in the "Domesday Book", the present building dates from the early 14th century.
We have a beautiful east window behind the altar designed for the Parish by Caroline Swash & installed in June 1985. The church is open for regular services throughout the year & during the summer months, July to September, it is open & stewarded from Monday to Friday 10am to 12 noon. There is a car park available behind the Barn Room, which is directly opposite the church. The Barn Room is used for providing refreshments after services as well as for fund raising events.
